Myllykoski Paper produces mechanical publication papers on three paper machines and one coating machine. In 2008 the mill produced approximately 330,000 tonnes of uncoated supercalendered (SC) paper and around 200,000 tonnes of medium-weight coated (MWC) publication paper. Roughly 90 per cent of total production is exported.

In addition to the paper machines, the mill has a debarking plant, groundwood mill, bleaching plant, water supply plant, wastewater treatment plant, maintenance, material and product storages, and a hydropower plant. Vamy Oy’s power plant and Specialty Minerals Nordic Oy’s pigment plant are located on the same site.

Myllykoski Paper Oy’s products are produced largely from Finnish spruce, which is supplied by Harvestia. Other raw materials used in paper manufacture are chemical pulp, which Myllykoski obtains from Stora Enso, and fillers and coating agents.

The mill operates an environmental management system complying with the international standard ISO 14001. It also has an ISO 9001:2000 quality management system, an PEFC:2006 and FSC chain of custody systems for its wood raw material and OHSAS 18001:2003 occupational health and safety system.
