Myllykoski Paper's most important partner is nature

Taking responsibility for the forests and waters is one of Myllykoski Paper's most important tasks. To fulfil this task the mill has invested in water and air protection improvements.

As a result the mill's BOD/COD load waste waters has been reduced and the air quality in the vicinity has enhanced.

We are proud to say that the river Kymijoki, which flows through several mill sites, is once again one of Finland's best salmon fishing rivers!

The mill operates an environmental management system complying with the international standard ISO 14001. It also has an ISO 9001:2000 quality management system, occupational health and safety management system OHSAS 18001:2003 and an PEFC:2006 and FSC chain of custody systems for its wood raw material. In 2008, Myllykoski recieved also the EMAS-certificate.
