Myllykoski Group 2008

• Net sales of the Myllykoski Group in 2008 was EUR 1,471 million, which is EUR 26 million or 1.8% more than in the previous year. The increase was due to slightly higher average prices for paper.
• Operating profit for 2008 was EUR 11 million against a loss of EUR 11 million in 2007.
• Operating profit for October - December 2008 was EUR 2 million, compared to an operating loss of EUR 7 million for October - December 2007.
  
• The loss for the year 2008 was EUR 17 million against a profit of EUR 1 million in 2007. The 2007 profit includes a non-recurring positive effect from the change in German tax legislation, EUR 32 million.
  
• Total production of the Myllykoski Group mills in 2008 amounted to 2,287,000 tons, which is 0.9% less than in the previous year. The decrease is mainly due to the closure of the MD Dachau mill in June 2007.
